Here's what's new in Ideagen Quality Control Pro V9.8
- We've updated our CAD translator to better support our customers who balloon 2D and 3D CAD file formats.
- In some cases when creating a project using a 3D model file format such as .CATPART, some GDT features were missing numerical tolerance values. This has been fixed.
- We've made some changes to our AS9102 Rev C template to improve alignment to AS9102 Rev C standards:
Form 1:
1) Field #19: The 'yes' and 'No' selections have been updated to an Italic font , as they are each mutually exclusive and therefore conditionally required.
2) Field#25: Font format has been updated to italic font as "Date" is a conditionally required field.
Form 3:
3) Field #4: 'FAIR Identifier' is a required field, therefore the italic font format has been removed and replaced by bold font. ( This field has been corrected on all three forms)
4) Field #12: "Additional Data / Comments" is optional. The bold font ( indicating a required field) has been removed.
- We've added an AS9102 Rev C Form 1 "Part Type" token to our Excel report template editor.
For users who wish to modify their own Excel report templates, there is now an AS9102 Rev C Form 1 "Part Type" token in the Ideagen QC Pro template editor:
For more information about how to use the Ideagen QC Pro Template editor, please see the following Knowledge Base article - How to create a custom Excel report
- We've added an alternative version of the AS9102 Rev C template to the list of "out of the box" default templates in Ideagen QC Professional.
The included AS9102C (Form3 Full Spec) -iss1.xlt Excel report template uses the "Full specification" Excel report token for Form 3 Field 8 ( Requirement). This token will display the contents of the "Full specification" field:
The AS9102 REV C template AS9102C -iss1.xlt uses the "Requirement" token, which causes parentheses to be added around nominal and tolerance extractions:
Some users would see the parentheses as indicating a reference dimension.
Both Excel report templates are now included by default.
- When selecting the folder icon in Options, Templates,
The File browser would open the designated templates folder. However, the folder appeared to be empty and the user would see a displayed message “No items match your search.” This would lead users to think that their templates had been deleted. This has been fixed.
- The Italian text for the GDT “Runout” symbol has been corrected to “Oscillazione Radiale”. In addition, an Italian translation for the newly added AS9102 Rev C Form 1 "Part Type" field has been added.
- There has been an update to our End User License Agreement ( EULA) to meet Ideagen requirements. You can access a copy of the current Ideagen EULA In the application via the "Options" / "Resources" tab
- In some cases, users have experienced the message shown below when opening the application, even after installing the most current Microsoft C++ redistributable file.
This issue has been fixed.
Please note: Ideagen will no longer support or release 32 bit versions of Quality Control Professional ( formerly InspectionXpert OnDemand 2.0)
